Umer Akmal – An Enthusiatic Pakistani Player.

Umer Akmal is a striker player and he is playing in Pakistan  Cricket Team since, 2009. He played his first match at the age of 19. He usually played at fifth and sixth position. He has a talent to enhance the performance up-to a good level, to make mark on the history of cricket. He started his test career against the New Zealand.

He captured the eyes of selectors, when he was in the Pakistan A team and was going to the tour of the Australia A in June/July of 2009. Due to his fine performance in these matches and got highlighted by media, he was selected for the Pakistan International Team.

In his test debut, he made century in that match against the New Zealand and he became the second Pakistani player who made century outside the country in first test match after Fawad Alam. His style of playing is aggressive. He has a decent technique to play the blowers. But according to me, he is a good player of fast blowers. He has a ability to finish the game. His reflexes are too strong to pick a ball easily. That’s why he can easily pick the ball of fast bowlers. But against the spin, he is not the good player. He really need to concentrate and do hard work to cop-up with the problem, which he is facing against the spin.

According to me, the most memorable inning of Umer Akmal was semi final of T20 in 2011, against Australia, which Pakistan lose due to the fantastic innings of Mike Hussey. He has all shots to play all around the ground,he is not a limited player. But he has a big problem, that cannot give a consistent performance according to his level of talent, due to his immature attitude, due to he was drop from the test squad. He really need to show consistency, otherwise it will be difficult from him to continue his career in the future.
