Noodles are among those edibles which are very easy to cook and they take no amount of time to get ready. You can prepare them on very short notice and the bets part about them is that you can always come up with a new and innovative recipe of your own. Hokkien Noodles is such a recipe which you will definitely love because of it’s delightful taste and ease of cooking. Here is the recipe for it.

Preparation Time: 30 minutes

Serving: 2-4 People


  • Oil 3 tbsp
  • Egg2
  • Garlic4 cloves
  • Egg noodles½ packet
  • Glass noodles½ packet
  • Bean sprout1 cup
  • Prawns 200 gm
  • Chicken breast (juliennes)1
  • Spring onion2
  • Fresh red chilies3 – 4
  • Cabbage¼ piece
  • Capsicum1
  • Lemon juice1 – 1 ½ tbsp
  • Lemon skin½ tsp
  • Saltto taste
  • Black pepper powder½ tsp

Cooking Method

  1. Add 3 tbsp of oil in a wok and heat it a little bit. Now add 4 cloves of chopped garlic in it. Also add chicken breast cut into juliennes in it. Now saute so that it gets golden brown.
  2. As chicken gets golden brown, add 200 grams prawns in the wok and fry for 2-3 minutes only. Now add 1 sliced capsicum, 2 sliced spring onions and ¼ piece of chopped cabbage. Fry all this for 2-3 minutes again.
  3. Now take 2 eggs and beat them. After that pour it to the vegetable mixture. Don’t mix it right away and let it cook itself for few couple of minutes.
  4. As this egg takes some shape flip it, and cook it from other side as well.
  5. Take ½ packet of egg noodles and boil it well. Take ½ packet soaked rice noodles, 1 cup bean sprout, salt to taste, ½ tsp black pepper, lemon juice, lemon skin and chopped fresh red chilies, along with boiled noodles and put it in the wok.
  6. Mix all these ingredients well and cook a little until it gets tender. Take the whole out of wok and serve hot.
