Forts in the eastern world has always been an astonishing element for the western side. Among the rest of the world Pakistan holds a notable position in the Fort history as well. Before the period of partition Mughal emperors were well known in their specific architecture and built a number of castles and Forts around the region. Every Emperor had its own inclination towards architecture. For example, Emperor Jehangir was fond of Gardens and built a famous palace Jehangir’s Quadrangle. Shah Jehan built Dewar-e-Khass and Moti Mosque. Aurangzaib added the beautiful main gate situated between the Badshahi Mosque and the Lahore Fort.
These Forts are a symbol of our glorious history, culture and traditions. They speak well about our fathers and forefathers. Today, these massive structures are not only a symbol of our heritage but also a remarkable tourist spot. The basic structure was built by Mughal Emperor Akbar in 1556-1605. After it was regularly managed by Sikhs and British rulers.
This fort is near the city of Multan in the province of Punjab. It was destroyed by British army when they occupy the India.
Situated in Rawalpindi in Punjab. It was built in 15th century.
Built by King Farid Khan well provoking place in history near the city of Jehlum. It has around 4km circumference. It is the only example of Hindu and Pakhtun mixture architecture.
Built by a Hindu Rajput, Rai jajja Bhati of Jaishalmer near Bahawalpur. It kept remain to the Jaishalmer family until captured and after Nawab Bahawalpur rebuilt it in 1733.
Built by Emperor Akber in the supervision of Khawaja Shamsuddin Khawafi in 1583.
Nawab Sir Sadiq renamed the fort polra on his son.
